Our Commitment to Factual Accuracy

We strive for meticulous accuracy across our product databases, ingredient breakdowns, and buying guides. When an error is identified — whether factual, scientific, or relating to product availability — we correct it promptly and transparently.

1. Types of Updates We Handle

🔄 Formulation Changes & Reformulations

Skincare manufacturers periodically adjust preservative systems, fragrances, or active concentrations. When a brand reformulates an existing SKU, we re-evaluate the full INCI list, recalculate the OraeSkin Score, and update our recommendation.

🏷️ Price & Stock Adjustments

Prices on Amazon India fluctuate due to lightning deals, festivals (e.g. Great Indian Festival), and merchant changes. Every product page lists an estimated price and the date of last verification. When stock becomes unavailable, we flag it as "Currently Unavailable" rather than fabricating pricing.

🔬 Scientific & Evidentiary Updates

Cosmetic dermatology evolves. If new peer-reviewed studies or regulatory decisions (such as European SCCS or Indian CDSCO guidance on UV filters or preservatives) emerge, we update our ingredient guides accordingly.

✍️ Typographical & Factual Corrections

Errors in bottle volume, packaging type, or active percentages are corrected as soon as verified.

2. Timestamp & Audit Transparency

To prevent misleading consumers, our product review pages and buying guides feature explicit verification markers:

  • Last Editorial Review: Indicates the date an editor reviewed the formulation, claims, and alternatives.
  • Price Checked Date: Indicates the most recent verification of Amazon India pricing and in-stock status.

We never dynamically generate fake "Updated Today" timestamps simply to trick search engines or users.

3. How to Report an Inaccuracy

We actively encourage readers, cosmetic formulators, and dermatologists to flag discrepancies. If you notice an outdated price, a discontinued product, or an inaccurate ingredient listing, please report it to us:

4. Correction Protocol & Review Timeframe

Our editorial team reviews all correction submissions within 48 to 72 business hours. If a substantive error is verified:

  • The page content and database record are immediately updated.
  • For significant changes (such as an altered active percentage or score change), a visible revision note is appended to the bottom of the article.
